FedEx Cup Championship – All Weekend

East Lake, just outside of Atlanta, Georgia, is the home of the final event of the season. The Top 30 golfers in the world are all playing for a piece of the $75M prize pool. Scottie Scheffler and Rory Mcllroy are the two favorites.

Can they hold on, as they get to start ahead of the rest of the field, Scheffler at -10 and Mcllroy at -8?

Los Angeles Chargers at San Francisco 49ers – Friday

Final game for both teams. Trey Lance was recently demoted to third-string quarterback for the 49ers. Look for him to get some time in this game, and there is no doubt he will play motivated.

The Chargers will look to wrap up their preseason and prepare for NFL opening weekend as they take on the Miami Dolphins.

New York Jets at New York Giants – Saturday

The battle of New York – football style. Aaron Rodgers and his Jets take on Daniel Jones and his Giants.

A home game for both teams. Split crowd. Bragging rights on the line. Preseason finale.

Anytime two New York teams get together, it is must-watch TV. This will get us all ready for the NFL regular season!

Navy Midshipmen at Notre Dame Fighting Irish – Saturday

The first NCAA Football game of the season. This game will be played in Dublin, Ireland. Look for a big pack of Irish fans to be at this game.

Notre Dame is going to be fun to follow with their new quarterback, Sam Hartman. The expectations are high for Notre Dame, but first things first, they will have to keep a disciplined and tough Navy team off balance.

San Jose State Spartans at USC Trojans – Saturday

Saturday night – as the USC Trojans get their 2023 season underway. San Jose State had a solid season last year but lost some talent.

Caleb Williams looks to win the Heisman Trophy again this season but would trade it in for a chance to play for a national title. The Trojans will be one of the best offensive teams in the nation, so enjoy watching them put points on the board.

St. Louis City SC at Orlando City SC – Saturday

St. Louis City has been one of the best teams in MLS action all season. After 24 games, they are leading the Western Conference by 7 points.

They get a trip to Orlando to take on a team that is surging in the standings. Orlando has won back-to-back games and allowed just two goals during that time. This should be quite a disciplined, tough game for both squads.

Cincinnati Reds at Arizona Diamondbacks – Saturday

A pair of wildcard teams meet up in the desert for a big MLB series. Big game on Saturday as Elly Da La Cruz and company meet up against Corbin Carroll and his crew.

Arizona has come back to life as of late and are right in the mix for a wildcard spot in the National League. This game and the entire series should be very competitive as Major League Baseball heads into its final month.

Coke Zero Sugar 400 – Saturday

Daytona Beach, Florida – The Daytona International Speedway is the host of this NASCAR event. Austin Dillon won the event a season ago. The 400-mile, 160-lap race will take place on NBC. Last week in NCS action, William Byron came away with the win, while Denny Hamlin came in runner-up. We will see how this race fares in the Florida sun.

UFC Fight Night – Saturday

The biggest UFC fight on the card features Holloway vs. the Korean Zombie. But one of the most interesting fights is the women’s flyweight between Santos and Blanchfield. This event will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Houston Texans at New Orleans Saints – Sunday

The final preseason game of the season. Former Ohio State quarterback CJ Stroud will get his chances with the Texans.

They take on a New Orleans Saints team with their eyes on the prize to win the NFC South. Alvin Kamara will miss some time to start the season, but the Saints still feel like they have enough firepower to take the division.

Atlanta Braves at San Francisco Giants – Sunday

Sunday Night Baseball features the best team in baseball on the road against a possible wildcard team. The Giants are in a busy battle with several other teams.

The Braves’ concerns now are to stay healthy, remain ahead of the Dodgers, and stay fresh for the postseason. This will wrap up Sunday Night Baseball games for the month of August.

Los Angeles Sparks at Connecticut Sun – Sunday

A pair of WNBA teams looking to grab a win will get together on the East Coast. This is a middle-of-the-day affair, as the Sparks are 13-18 and the Sun sit at 23-10.

The Sparks are currently the 8th seed in the standings, which is the final team in the postseason. Connecticut is no easy opponent, especially at home, so despite the winning streak, Los Angeles will have their hands full.

Dutch Grand Prix – Sunday

This is the first Formula 1 race since the end of July when the drivers were in Belgium. That was, of course, won by Max Verstappen. Sergio Perez enjoyed a second-place finish. Now, at the Dutch Grand Prix in the Netherlands. This 72-lap, 190.2-mile race will be aired on ESPN. Of course, Verstappen will be there in his famous Red Bull vehicle.

There it is! Enjoy the weekend of sports. We expect it to be a great weekend with some awesome events. Best of luck with all your sports watching and betting this weekend!
