It’s going to be another busy weekend on the sports calendar, even though it’s not going to be a weekend that has many major trophies handed out. The best action is going to be taking place in arenas though and there will be some great drama and action to check out.

Every weekend in April has provided some great betting action, and that is going to end up being the case again this weekend. Here is a look at some of the top sporting events of the weekend, and betting options that are available with each event.

Betting Action: Weekly Sports Recap & Updates

NBA Playoffs

The NBA Playoffs are going to continue all weekend long and there are going to be some great First Round matchups taking place. Outside of the Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets, the rest of the league has shown a ton of parity throughout the year.

One of the best series is taking place in the Eastern Conference as the New York Knicks are taking on the Philadelphia 76ers. New York has won the first two games, but Philadelphia can still bounce back with a pair of wins.

Another tight series in the Eastern Conference is a matchup between the Indiana Pacers and Milwaukee Bucks. The Pacers have stolen home court advantage in that series, but Giannis Antetokounmpo could be making his return in Game 3.

Betting on the NBA Playoffs is always a great option as this is one of the best sporting events of the entire year.

NHL Playoffs

The First Round of the NHL Playoffs are also taking place throughout the weekend, and these playoffs are wide open. There is no real betting favorite in either conference, and that is going to lead to some incredible drama and excitement.

There have already been some big moments throughout the NHL Playoffs, and some games have been high-scoring affairs. That trend will continue throughout the postseason as every team will be pushing hard to come away with wins.

Making a futures bet on the NHL Playoffs is going to be an option, but it’s better to look at each game individually this season. Home ice advantage is really going to matter in this event, and things can change every single night.

NHL betting isn’t always popular throughout the regular season, but that changes in the postseason

Zurich Classic of New Orleans

The PGA Tour is making a stop in New Orleans this weekend, and it’s an event that is both unique and popular with the players. This weekend will be the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and it gives PGA Tour players a chance to team up to try to win a title.

There are different two-main formats taking place throughout this event, and it will put a ton of pressure on each golfer to deliver. Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay are favored to win this event at +400, while Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry are next on the list at +700.

This is going to be a great tournament all weekend long.
