Betting Action: Weekly Sports Recap & Updates

BMW Championship – All Weekend Long

The top 50 golfers in the world for the entire weekend in Chicago. There is no cut, so you will see all the golfers all weekend.

After this event, the Top 30 in the world go to East Lake for the championship. There are several guys that need good weekends to make it to the FedEx Championship.

There are also guys at the top of the list that could move closer to being the leader heading in. This should be a great weekend of golf!

Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees – Friday, August 18th, 2023

Despite the two teams both struggling this MLB season, this is always a game you must see. The Red Sox and Yankees both hate each other. The Yankees are having just a dreadful season, and it starts on the offensive side.

It appears both teams are going to miss out on the postseason unless one of them goes on a massive winning streak. In the end, though, fun baseball will be played in the Bronx.

Cincinnati Bengals at Atlanta Falcons – Friday, August 18th, 2023

Two games in NFL preseason are played on Friday. This is our favorite of the two. The Bengals are still looking for Joe Burrow to come back strong.

The Falcons are going to have a young offensive unit. Bijan Robinson is expected to get some looks in this one. This should be an entertaining football game.

Miami Marlins at Los Angeles Dodgers – Saturday, August 19th, 2023

Two teams playing solid baseball will get together in Los Angeles. The Marlins are chasing a wildcard spot, while the Dodgers are chasing the top record in the National League.

Look for both teams to pitch well and for timely hitting to be the difference maker in this one.

Kansas City Chiefs at Arizona Cardinals – Saturday, August 19th, 2023

The team projected to be the best team in the National Football League against the team projected to be the worst team.

Patrick Mahomes could get some time in this one, and any time he is on the field, it’s a must watch. Arizona looked fine in their first preseason game but still remains the odds-on favorite to win the fewest games in 2023. Preseason Week 2 is here, and this is a fun game to follow.

Los Angeles Sparks at Las Vegas Aces – Saturday, August 19th, 2023

The WNBA is approaching the end of its regular season. These two teams could meet up in the first round of the postseason. The Sparks come into the game at 12-18, which is tied with the Sky for the 8th-best record.

Las Vegas obviously has been the best team since the start of the season. Look for the Sparks to play inspired and keep this game competitive on Saturday.

Philadelphia Phillies at Washington Nationals – Sunday, August 20th, 2023

A pair of National League East teams are getting together on Sunday Night Football: the Phillies and Nationals. Philadelphia is looking to make its case as a National League Wildcard team.

The Nationals, at this point, are just playing the role of the spoiler. Look for a fun game with some runs scored in this one. Sunday Night Baseball never disappoints.

New Orleans Saints at Los Angeles Chargers – Sunday, August 20th, 2023

The final game of Week 2 in the preseason will feature the Saints at the Chargers. Derek Carr and the Saints are looking to remake their offense and win the NFC South.

For the Chargers, they looked good in the win over the Rams. Justin Herbert is a dark horse in the NFL MVP race this season.

Spain vs. England – Sunday, August 20th, 2023

The Women’s World Cup Finals! The United States obviously will not win their third straight. But these two teams are talented and hungry. Look for a fun matchup on Sunday to claim it all.

Austin FC at St. Louis City – Sunday, August 20th, 2023

The MLS is back after its break. St. Louis City has the most points in all of the Western Conference.

Austin FC is a team that is looking to surge in the second half and stay in the playoff race, and maybe even move up the standings. This should be a fun affair on Sunday – as the league comes back to go!

Go Bowling at the Glen – Sunday, August 20th, 2023

At Watkins Glen in New York, this 220-mile, 90-lap race will be on USA Network Sunday afternoon. Kyle Larson is the defending champion and looking to take down the race again. This should be a fun one!

There you have it. Enjoy the weekend, and enjoy all the great sports this weekend!
