Betting Action: Weekly Sports Recap & Updates

Top Sports Events for This Weekend – Oct. 31 – Nov. 1

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 31– Sunday, Nov. 1

Saturday, Oct. 31

Soccer

The Bundesliga has a nice matchup between Monchengladbach and Leipzig. Gladbach drew with Real Madrid earlier this week in a Champions League match. Nobody in the Bundesliga is as good as Bayern but both Gladbach and Leipzig can hang with Dortmund, which should lead to an entertaining game.

Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea are all in action on Saturday. None of the three English Premier League contenders battle teams they should lose against. Still, check out the matches because all three looked solid in Champions League matches.

UFC Fight Night: Hall vs Silva

At one time, most considered Anderson Silva one of the top athletes, not just top MMA fighters, but top athletes, in the world. Now with a 34-10 record, Silva may have enough in the tank to upset heavily favored Uriah Hall.

Hall has won 3-of-4 while Anderson has lost 4-of-5. Silva hasn’t fought since May 11, 2019, though. If he took the time off to recoup and learn a more effective style, he could have a shot in the main event at UFC Fight Night on October 31.

Boxing: Davis vs. Cruz and Inoue vs. Maloney

Gervonta Davis and his 26-0 with 22 knockouts record takes on one of the very best fighters on the planet. Leo Santa Cruz is easily the best boxers Davis has ever stepped into a ring against. If Santa Cruz uses his height, he could pull off the big upset win.

Jason Maloney has almost zero chance of beating Naoya Inoue. The Japanese fighter makes his Top Rank debut on Saturday night. Even if you don’t have action on the fight, watch Inoue. He lands body shots better than any fighter, maybe, in history.

NCAAF Week 9

There are other good football games on Saturday, Georgia travels to Kentucky and Texas battles Oklahoma State, but let’s not kid ourselves. Everyone will watch Ohio State take on Penn State.
The Buckeyes believe they deserve a shot at the National Championship even though they will play four less games than teams in the SEC and ACC. Penn State lost their first game of the season to Indiana. The Nittany Lions have a lot to prove.

Sunday, Nov. 1

F1: Emilia Romagna GP

Lewis Hamilton has won 3 of the last 4 Formula 1 races. Will Lewis take another for Mercedes? Or will an underdog driver challenge the superstar racer?

Soccer

No doubt, Sunday’s top club match on the pitch is Arsenal versus Manchester United. Man U has 3 wins and a draw in their last four. They beat PSG 2-1 in their first Champions League match, which tells us how great their form is. Arsenal is 2-2 in their last 4. The two losses were against Man City and Leicester, though. Those two EPL teams are rocking it this season.

NASCAR: Xfinity 500 – Martinsville Speedway

You must love Kyle Busch, right? Busch won’t race for a NASCAR Cup this season. No problem. Kyle decided to go ahead and take the checkered flag at Texas Motor Speedway last week.

Joey Logano continues to lead with Kevin Harvick, Denny Hamlin, and Brad Keselowski also in the top four. In addition, Kyle Larsen might race this week. So, it should be a nice, positive Sunday, at Martinsville Speedway.

NFL Week 8

Undefeated Pittsburgh takes on the Ravens in Baltimore. That’s the top NFL game on Sunday. The best afternoon battle has the San Francisco 49ers taking on the Seattle Seahawks. Circle those two on your calendar.

In addition, the Saints are at Soldier Field to go against the Bears, the Titans battle Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Rams travel to Miami to play against Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins. On Monday night, Antonio Brown returns to the NFL as a Tampa Bay Buccaneer when Brady and the Bucs travel to New York to fight the Giants.

Have a great weekend!
