Weekly Sports Recap & Update – November 12th Edition

It’s another jam-packed weekend of sports action. We’ve got some great football ahead of us and some stellar NBA action as well. We can’t forget the start of the college basketball season either. Let’s take a look at some of the top events of the upcoming weekend in sports.

Betting Action: Weekly Sports Recap & Updates

Top Sports Events for This Weekend – November 13 – November 14

NBA

Earlier this week, the Utah Jazz and the Miami Heat had a few issues. After Markieff Morris gave a hard foul to Nikola Jokic, Jokic retaliated by cheap-shotting Morris in the back. A squirmish ensued, and there was a lot of trash-talking going on between the two teams.

These two won’t have to wait long to settle their differences, as the Heat will travel to Utah on Saturday to take on the Jazz. While there could be some extracurricular activities in this one, we hope that it doesn’t ruin a game between two of the NBA’s top teams.

The Heat are the best defensive team in the league, while an offensive surge from Rudy Gobert has propelled the Jazz towards the top of the Western Conference. We’ll see if there are any fireworks in this one.

College Football

One of the top games of the weekend will feature the Ohio State Buckeyes hosting the Purdue “Spoilermakers.” Purdue has made a name for itself by knocking off ranked teams this season. They were the first team to beat Iowa when the Hawkeyes were ranked second in the nation.

Last week, they knocked the Michigan State Spartans from the ranks of the unbeaten. We’ll see if Purdue has what it takes to end Ohio State’s playoff hopes.

In a key SEC matchup, the Texas A&M Aggies will travel to Oxford to take on the Ole Miss Rebels. While neither of these teams are likely to make the playoffs, they’re playing for a spot in one of the New Year’s Six Bowl games. We’ll see if Jimbo Fisher’s defense can slow down Matt Corral and the high-powered Rebel offense.

College Basketball

The College Basketball season has started, and we’ll see a premier matchup on Saturday night as the #5 Texas Longhorns travel to Spokane, Washington, to take on the top-ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs.

This will be the first big game for Chris Beard since he has taken over the Texas program. Both teams brought in some elite freshmen, so this should be a fun one to watch.

NFL

It’s already Week 10 of the NFL season, and teams are starting to worry about playoff positioning. One of the top games of the week will feature the Seattle Seahawks heading to Green Bay to take on the Packers.

This game will see the return of two of the league’s top quarterbacks, as Russell Wilson is slated to return from his hand injury, while Aaron Rodgers should clear the league’s COVID protocol to play. Seattle knows that it can’t afford to lose many more games, so this will be a big one for them.

On Sunday Night Football, we’ll see a key AFC West battle, as the Kansas City Chiefs will head to “Sin City” to take on the Las Vegas Raiders. The Chiefs haven’t played well all season and are looking for a victory over the Raiders, who are tied for first place in the AFC West. We’ll see if Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense finally gets back to form on Sunday night.
