Weekly Sports Recap & Update – November 5th Edition

We’re into November; the World Series is over, so now it’s time to focus on football and basketball. There’s a great slate of college football games on the horizon, and we’ll see a ton of NFL action on Sunday.

We can’t forget that the NBA is in full swing, and there will be some marquee matchups to watch on Saturday and Sunday. Let’s take a look at a weekend full of great sports action.

Betting Action: Weekly Sports Recap & Updates

Top Sports Events for This Weekend – November 6 – November 7

NCAA Football

While it won’t have title implications, there’ll be a big matchup in the SEC that could determine which team gets a New Year’s Six Bowl bid. #13 Auburn will travel to College Station to take on #14 Texas A&M.

The Aggies hold a victory over Alabama, and that is a premier win. The winner of this one will be on a clear track to get to one of the better bowls.

Another matchup in the SEC worth watching will pit the LSU Tigers against the Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa. These two have been fierce rivals over the past few years.

However, the LSU program is in shambles, Ed Orgeron is gone at the end of the year, and the Tigers pretty much know that their season is over. We’ll see if the Crimson Tide can take advantage of the wounded Tiger program.

A big matchup in the Pac 12 will have the Oregon Ducks heading to Washington for their toughest Pac 12 task to date. Oregon knows that a loss will derail any chance they have of making the College Football Playoffs, so they know that they have little margin for error.

They’ll have to deal with a good Washington team and a hostile crowd. We will see if the Ducks can overcome the odds on Saturday.

NFL

We were looking forward to watching Aaron Rodgers take on Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City, but since it was announced that Rodgers had tested positive for COVID-19, we’ll have to wait for another day.

We will get to see the starting debut of Jordan Love under center, so there are still a lot of storylines involved in this one.

Another matchup that lost some of its luster due to injury is the Tennessee Titans taking on the Los Angeles Rams. The Titans lost their meal ticket this week, as Derrick Henry will miss numerous weeks with a foot injury. We’ll see if Ryan Tannehill and the passing attack can hang with Matthew Stafford and the powerful Rams offense.

NBA

On Saturday night, we could have a potential NBA Finals matchup, as the Utah Jazz will head to South Beach to take on the Miami Heat. The Heat are the top defensive team in the league and have been playing great basketball to start the season.

The addition of Kyle Lowry combined with the improvement of Bam Adebayo, and Tyler Herro has made the Heat a legitimate title contender.

Speaking of improvements, Rudy Gobert has become an offensive force for the Jazz this season. With Gobert now being a force on the offensive end, putting him with Mike Conley Jr. and Donovan Mitchell will give the Jazz a great shot at going farther in the playoffs.
