Weekly Sports Recap & Update – July 21st Edition

The weekend has arrived again. We have another fun weekend of sports on tap this week. It’s the calm before the storm that is known as football soon! Let’s take a look at the top sports events for this weekend!

Betting Action: Weekly Sports Recap & Updates

Open Championship

After a fun day at Royal Liverpool on Thursday, the action will pick back up Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Do not forget this is going to be early in the morning for American golf fans. Christo Lamprecht, Tommy Fleetwood, and Emiliano Grillo are the co-leaders at -5.

Plenty of other guys are not far off heading into Day 2. The 151st Open Championship is expected to be a fun one, and we expect numerous guys to have a chance as it wraps up on Sunday.

Baltimore Orioles at Tampa Bay Rays

The top two teams in the American League East get together in Tampa. The Orioles have tied the Rays at the top of the standings. This is a four-game MLB series and will go a long way toward who is going to take down the divisional title.

The Orioles’ offense has been on fire, but can the Tampa Bay pitching slow them down?

Los Angeles Dodgers at Texas Rangers

A three-game series between two divisional leaders. The National League West leader against the American League West winner.

The Rangers have won six straight games and are pounding the baseball all over the place. Dave Roberts and his Dodgers will look to cool them down, despite being in Arlington.

Atlanta Braves at Milwaukee Brewers

One more first-place vs. first-place series. The Braves have dropped three straight games but have a massive lead in the National League East.

The Brewers are in a close race with Cincinnati in the National League Central. Braves and Brewers should be a really good one over the weekend.

NASCAR: M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400

Coming from Long Pond, Pennsylvania, Chase Elliott will look to repeat here at the Pocono Raceway.

Last week we saw Martin Truex win the Crayton 301, while Joey Logano and Kyle Larson wrapped up the Top 3. Who will win this 160-lap, 400-mile NASCAR race this time?

Las Vegas Aces at Minnesota Lynx

Now that the WNBA All-Star Break is over, it’s time to get back to the action. The Aces are absolutely running away with the standings so far this season.

The Lynx would like a win or two to feel comfortable about their positioning. The problem here – teams are having a tough time slowing down Vegas. Can Minnesota do it at home on Saturday?

Women’s World Cup

The Women’s World Cup gets started with action starting Thursday. The United States women will get to their first action on Friday night at 8:00 pm. They’ll take on Vietnam as part of the action in Group E.

The tournament is taking place in Auckland as the Americans look to win their third straight title.

Hungarian Grand Prix

Do not forget about Formula 1! The last two races this month saw Max Verstappen win. Can he do it again? This one will take place at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. The 191.5 miles 44 laps race can be seen on ESPN.
