Betting Action: Weekly Sports Recap & Updates

UConn Huskies at Gonzaga Bulldogs – Friday December 15th, 2023

Big time College Basketball game on Friday night. Two of the top teams in the country getting together. This has the potential of a Final Four game, as these two teams have loaded talent. Both teams come into the game ranked in the Top 10. What a thriller from Spokane as the National Champs go on the road.

Boston Bruins at New York Islanders – Friday December 15th, 2023

The top team in the Eastern Conference is the Boston Bruins. They will head to Long Island on Friday to take on a surging Islanders team. If this postseason play, this has the makings of a big playoff game in the second or even third round. The Islanders are looking to stay hot, and move towards the top of the standings.

Los Angeles Lakers at San Antonio Spurs

Friday December 15th, 2023
LeBron James and Anthony Davis against the young rookie in Wemby. It’s been a massive struggle for the home team; San Antonio. The Spurs have won just 3 of 23 games this season. Look for another challenge here, as the Lakers have moved up the standings to 15-10 on the season. With healthy rosters, Los Angeles wins this one easily.

UFC 296

Saturday December 16th, 2023
From the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, this should be a really fun card. The main fight features Edwards against Covington, but this is chalk full of talented fighters. It’s never not enjoyable seeing a nice fight night from Sin City!

New York Knicks at Los Angeles Clippers

Saturday December 16th, 2023
New York heads to Los Angeles. The Knicks sit at 7th in the East, but one of the toughest teams to put away. The Knicks play good defense, and have enough offense to be a problem. The Clippers are 8th in the West. Los Angeles has guys as well, with one of the more talented rosters in the league. This should be a fun one from Los Angeles!

Arizona Wildcats at Purdue Boilermakers

Saturday December 16th, 2023
The top ranked Wildcats will head to Indianapolis to take on the Boilermakers. These two teams are both national title contenders. Arizona is perfect, at 8-0, while Purdue has the one loss to Northwestern. Look for the athleticism of the Wildcats against the big man skill of the Boilermakers. The home of the Pacers is up for a big time game on Saturday!

UCLA Bruins vs. Boise State Broncos

Saturday December 16th, 2023
The Los Angeles Bowl. Obviously, the Bruins are going to have the home crowd advantage here. But, Boise State has some positive momentum, and with a new coaching staff in place, they are going to want to see what they got. Expect the Bruins to pound the football on the ground, and play a solid game.

Pittsburgh Penguins at Toronto Maple Leafs

Saturday December 17th, 2023
The Pittsburgh Penguins have struggled this season, and continue to look for that breakout type game that gets them back on track. Not sure it’s this game, as they are on the road north of the border. Toronto is third in the Atlantic Division, with 35 points. The Maple Leafs would love to put some pressure on the Bruins at the top of the Atlantic.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Indianapolis Colts

Saturday December 17th, 2023
Huge game on Saturday. The middle game of three to be played. Both teams are 7-6, and fighting for an AFC Postseason spot. The Steelers have struggled with back to back losses to the Cardinals and Patriots. Indianapolis is also coming off a loss. The battle of wills here from Indianapolis on Saturday.

Houston Rockets at Milwaukee Bucks

Sunday December 17th, 2023
The young Rockets have been really good at home, but horrendous on the roster. In fact, the Rockets are 1-8 away from Houston. This won’t be an easy one. Coming off a massive performance from the Greek Freak, the Bucks are in a battle with the Celtics for the top spot in the East. Look for quick and easy work from the home team here.

San Jose Sharks at Colorado Avalanche

Sunday December 17th, 2023
The Sharks have moved out of the basement of the Western Conference. San Jose will need to continue playing really sharp hockey when they head to Denver on Sunday. The Avalanche lead the Central Division with their 38 points. The Avalanche at home are tough to beat, and the Sharks will have their hands full here.

Dallas Cowboys at Buffalo Bills

Sunday December 17th, 2023
Big game for both teams. The Cowboys want to keep the top spot in the NFC East, and possibly the top NFC seed. No one is hotter than Dallas right now. For the Bills, they are looking to just in at this point. Sure, the Bills are still looking at an AFC East title, but first things first. A win here at home would push the Bills a long way towards getting into the dance.

Enjoy the action this weekend! Best of luck!
