Betting Action: Weekly Sports Recap & Updates

Top Sports Events for This Weekend – May 15 –  May 16

NBA

In NBA action, we’ll see some great late-season matchups this weekend, as teams are jockeying for division titles and playoff positioning. On Saturday night, the Miami Heat will travel to Milwaukee to take on the Bucks. The Heat is currently in a dogfight with the Atlanta Hawks for the Southeast Division title. Milwaukee is playing for a shot at the #2 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs, as they’re currently one game behind the Brooklyn Nets. We’ll see this and many other games this weekend that will have playoff implications. It’s going to be a fun way to end the season!

MLB

This weekend’s top Major League Baseball action will see two potential National League playoff teams clash as the St. Louis Cardinals venture out West to take on the San Diego Padres. The Cardinals are currently leading the National League Central, while the Padres sit two games behind the San Francisco Giants in the West. The Cardinals bats have come alive as of late, and their pitching staff has performed better than many thought they would. The Padres made some big offseason acquisitions to put them in a position to be a World Series contender. These two teams should be playing in October, so this will be a fun early-season matchup to keep our eyes on.

PGA Tour

This weekend’s stop on the PGA Tour will take the golfers to TPC Craig Ranch in Texas for the AT&T Byron Nelson. Dustin Johnson withdrew from the event earlier this week, but this field is still loaded with some of the world’s top golfers. This weekend’s field will include Jon Rahm, Hideki Matsuyama, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Jason Day, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, Lee Westwood, and Will Zalatoris. The field of 156 will put on a good show for all of the golf fans this weekend.

NASCAR

The NASCAR Circuit heads to the Northeast this weekend, as the Xfinity racers along with the Cup Series racers will head to Dover, Delaware. On Saturday, the Xfinity Series will run the Drydene 200. On Sunday, the Cup Series will take center stage for the Drydene 400. Martin Truex Jr. is the favorite to take home the checkered flag on Sunday. Truex is coming off of a victory last weekend at Darlington. He has been racing well as of late and will look to keep his momentum going.
