Top Sports Events for This Weekend – January 15 – January 16

NFL Playoffs

On Saturday, we’ll see two Wild Card games. The first one having the Las Vegas Raiders head to the Jungle in Cincinnati to take on the Bengals. The Raiders have fought adversity all year long, while the Bengals seem to be a fan favorite.

In the second game of the day, we’ll see two AFC East rivals collide, as Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills host Bill Belichick’s New England Patriots. We’ll see if Coach Belichick has a way to slow down Josh Allen.

On Sunday, we’ll see three big games. Philadelphia will travel to Tampa Bay to take on Tom Brady and the Bucs. We’ll see if Philadelphia has any tricks up its sleeve for the defending champs.

Up next will be the San Francisco 49ers heading to Dallas to take on the Cowboys. Dallas will have to stop the potent Niner rushing attack, while San Francisco will have to find a way to stop the Dallas offense.

In the final game of the night, we’ll see the Pittsburgh Steelers head to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense will be looking to put an end to Ben Roethlisberger’s career in this one.

NBA Action

On Saturday night, two of the hottest teams in the Eastern Conference will square off, as the Miami Heat will host the Philadelphia 76ers. Both of these teams are 8-2 in their last 10, and both have been climbing up the conference standings over the last couple of weeks. Even though they’ve missed key players due to injury, the Heat have climbed to second in the conference standings, while the Sixers are now in the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

This should be a fun one to watch as Joel Embiid always seems to find a way to get under the skin of the Miami Heat.

College Hoops

As always, it’s a busy weekend in the world of college basketball. We’ll see how top-ranked Baylor rebounds from its loss to Texas Tech as they host the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Sunday. We’ll also see another tough Big 12 matchup as the #21 Texas Longhorns travel to Ames, Iowa, to take on the #15 Iowa State Cyclones.

In the SEC, we’ll see a very good showdown as the #22 Tennessee Volunteers head to Lexington to take on John Calipari’s Kentucky Wildcats. The #18 Cats have been putting things together as of late, and Calipari’s squad looks like they could make some noise in March. This one should be fun to watch.
