Top Sports Events for This Weekend – December 11 – December 12

College Football

While we’re awaiting bowl season, we still have one premier game on the docket. The annual Army-Navy game is on Saturday. This game is full of tradition.

MetLife Stadium will host this contest that will be surrounded by a lot of pomp and circumstance. These two programs are not powerhouses, but with a stadium full of military personnel, it will be sure to make for a great atmosphere.

College Basketball

It’s hard to believe, but we’re already getting into the conference season in college basketball. That doesn’t mean that we won’t see some great non-conference matchups, though. One of those being on Sunday, as the sixth-ranked Villanova Wildcats will head to Waco, Texas, to take on the #2 Baylor Bears.

Scott Drew’s squad is coming off of last year’s National Championship. They have a lot of new faces, but this is a team full of athletes that can defend as well as anyone. Jay Wright is one of the best coaches in the country, and he’ll have his squad ready for Baylor. This should be a fun one to watch!

NFL Action

Now that we’re in Week 14 of the NFL season, teams are now starting to feel the pressure of making the playoffs. This weekend is full of games with playoff implications. One of the premier games of the weekend will feature the Buffalo Bills heading to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers.

The Bills have been very inconsistent this season, but many experts still feel that they’re one of, if not the best team in the AFC. Josh Allen is one of the most dynamic players in the league, and he’ll lead his offense into battle with a very stout defense.

When talking about Tampa Bay, how can we forget Tom Brady? Brady is one of the greatest players in the history of the league, and he and his loaded arsenal of weapons will be ready for a Buffalo defense that is very hard to score on.

Another game worth watching is the Dallas Cowboys at the Washington Football Team. Many had left Washington for dead earlier this season, but after winning four straight games, the WFT is back in the playoff hunt.

They’re also looking for a victory over the Cowboys to climb to within one game on the division lead. We’ll see if Washington can win their fifth straight or if the Cowboys can win this one and put an even bigger gap between themselves and the Football Team from Washington.
