Top Sports Events for This Weekend – April 9 – April 10

The Masters

The most prestigious golf tournament in the world will have its final two rounds this weekend, as the top golfers in the world will be playing The Masters at Augusta National. This is the tournament that every player yearns to win. Everyone wants to win a green jacket in their professional career.

Heading into the second round, Sungjae Im is on top of the leaderboard at -5. Some of the other top names near the top of the leaderboard are Cameron Smith, Dustin Johnson, Joaquin Niemann, Scottie Scheffler, Patrick Cantlay, Daniel Berger, Tony Finau, and Tiger Woods.

Woods is the story at this Masters, as this is the first PGA Tour event that he is playing in since his career-threatening car accident over a year ago. At the time of the wreck, many doctors felt that Woods’ career may be over.

There was talk of maybe even having to amputate a portion of his leg. If Woods can stay near the top of the leaderboard, this will be one of the greatest returns ever.

There’s a lot of golf left to be played, so we could see a lot of movement among the leaders. The Masters is always a great tournament to watch, and we could see this one come down to the 18th hole on Sunday.

NBA Playoff Push

This is the final weekend of the regular season in the NBA. We’re going to see some games that could have some serious playoff implications. The Milwaukee Bucks are playing the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday.

Milwaukee is still in contention for the top spot in the East. The Bucks, Celtics, and Sixers are all in the mix for one of the top four spots in the East. A loss on Sunday could bump the Bucks out of a better spot.

Other games with playoff implications are the Indiana Pacers at the Brooklyn Nets, the Atlanta Hawks at the Houston Rockets, the Detroit Pistons and the Philadelphia 76ers, the Celtics taking on the Grizzlies, and the Heat at the Magic.

It should be a great weekend full of meaningful basketball!

MLB is Back!

Thursday was Opening Day for the 2022 Major League Baseball Season. We’ll be watching baseball until November to see who will win the 2022 World Series. In this weekend’s slate of games, we have some intriguing matchups.

First off, one of the greatest rivalries in baseball starts off the season as the Boston Red Sox head to the Bronx to take on the New York Yankees. The American League is the best division in baseball, and it will be highly competitive this season.

Another divisional matchup that pits possible playoff teams against each other takes place out west, as the Houston Astros will take on the Anaheim Angels.

Many predict that this is the year Mike Trout leads the Angels into the playoffs. The Astros are predicted to win the division, so this will be a very competitive series.
