Betting Action: Weekly Sports Recap & Updates

Top Sports Events for This Weekend – October 15 – October 16

MLB Postseason Action

We’ll see a weekend full of postseason baseball action, as both the ALCS & NLCS will play on Saturday and Sunday. In the ALCS, the action will take place in Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, as the Yankees will host the Houston Astros for the next three games.

In the Senior Circuit, the teams will head east to Philadelphia, where the Phillies will host the San Diego Padres. Both of these series look to be very competitive.

NFL Action

This weekend’s slate of games looks to be a little lackluster, but everyone will still be paying close attention to all of Sunday’s games. We’ll see an important AFC South matchup, as the Tennessee Titans will host the Indianapolis Colts. The Titans currently lead the division with a 3-2 record, while the Colts are in second place with a 3-2-1 mark.

Another important game will pit two AFC North rivals against one another, as the Baltimore Ravens will take on the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens have been hard-luck losers in their three losses. We’ll see if Lamar Jackson can play better than he has recently against a good Cleveland defense.

The top matchup of the day will feature the San Francisco 49ers hosting the Kansas City Chiefs. The Niners’ defense has been ravaged by injuries, so this unit isn’t nearly as good as it should be.

Unfortunately for them, they’ll have to face one of the league’s best offenses. Patrick Mahomes should have a good day against a second-string defense.

College Football

After last Saturday, where we saw some great action, things slow down a little bit this Saturday. In one of the top matchups of the day, two undefeated ACC teams will clash, as the Clemson Tigers will host the Syracuse Orange.

It has been a long time since the Orange has played a meaningful game this late in the season. The winner of this game will have the inside track to a berth in the ACC Championship game.

After losing to Tennessee last Saturday, Nick Saban’s squad will look to rebound against Mississippi State. Mike Leach’s squad are the unfortunate ones who get to take on Alabama after a Crimson Tide loss. We’ll see if Alabama takes out its frustrations on the Bulldogs.

The undefeated TCU Horned Frogs will take on the 5-1 Kansas State Wildcats in Big 12 action. TCU knocked off previously undefeated Oklahoma State last weekend. Kansas State has quietly put together a very nice season. TCU has lost three straight to K State, so we’ll see if they can break their losing streak.

Chip Kelly has turned the UCLA program around. UCLA will travel to Eugene to take on the Oregon Ducks on Saturday. The Pac-12 is up for grabs now, and the winner of this game will be sitting in a very good spot at the end of the day. We’ll see if UCLA’s dynamic offense will be too much for Oregon or if the Ducks and their home-field advantage will give UCLA fits.
