Betting Action: Weekly Sports Recap & Updates

Top Sports Events for This Weekend – March 19 – March 20

NCAA Tournament

Heading into Saturday’s action, we’ve whittled the field down to 32 teams. We’ve already seen a lot of upsets, and with Kentucky losing to St. Peter’s in the first round, one of the tournament favorites has been sent home. Even though we’ve yet to see a #1 seed go down, we’re sure to see even more upsets over the weekend.

NBA Action

With less than 15 games left in the regular season, teams are either making a playoff push, or they’re playing for more ping pong balls in the draft lottery. Teams that are in the playoff hunt are looking to avoid being lower than a six seed, as they don’t want to play in the play-in tournament.

In looking at this weekend’s slate of games, we’ve got a good one on Saturday. The Milwaukee Bucks are peaking at the right time. They’re within two games of the Miami Heat for the top spot in the East, and they’ve gone 8-2 in their last 10 games. With Brook Lopez back from injury, the Bucks feel that they’ve got a great shot at repeating.

The Bucks will head to Minnesota to take on the surging Timberwolves. The Wolves have won three in a row, and are currently sitting in the 7th position in the Western Conference. Karl Anthony Towns has been a man possessed as of late.

On Sunday, the top matchup of the day will feature the Boston Celtics heading out west to take on the Denver Nuggets. Both of these teams will be in the playoffs. Both of them also have MVP candidates, as Nikola Jokic is the favorite to win the award, while Jayson Tatum has put himself into the race with his recent surge. Boston has gone 8-2 in the last 10, and has become one of the top defensive teams in the NBA. This should be a good one.

PGA Tour

As the Masters gets closer and closer, many of the top names in golf are getting their games ready for Augusta. This week’s stop on the tour is Palm Harbor, Florida for the Valspar Championship. Many of golf’s top stars are playing in this one. The field is highlighted by Justin Thomas, Tommy Fleetwood, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Louis Oosthuizen, Xander Schauffele, and Collin Morikawa. This one should be an exciting tournament.

NASCAR

The Atlanta Motor Speedway will host the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 on Sunday. The Cup Series is in full swing, and we’ve already seen some great racing this season. Joey Logano, Kyle Larson, Ryan Blaney, and Chase Elliott are the favorites to take home the checkered flag.
