We’ll see some great Major League Baseball action, along with a loaded PGA Tour event. Let’s take a look at some of the top events of the upcoming sports weekend.

Betting Action: Weekly Sports Recap & Updates

Top Sports Events for This Weekend – June 4 – June 5

The NBA Finals

On Sunday night, we’ll see some great NBA Finals action as Game 2 of the Finals will take place at the Chase Center in San Francisco, as the Golden State Warriors will host the Boston Celtics. Game 1 will be played on Thursday night in San Francisco.

This should be a great matchup. The Celtics and the Warriors are two of the top defensive teams in the league.

Boston will have to figure out how to slow down Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Golden State will have to contend with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

This should be a great series that we could see going to seven games.

Major League Baseball Action

There are three great series this weekend in Major League Baseball. The top two teams in the National League will meet in a three-game series this weekend, as the Los Angeles Dodgers will host the New York Mets.

Despite injuries to their starting pitching staff, the Mets still have the best record in the National League. The Dodgers lead the NL West and are looking to make another World Series run.

Another potential playoff matchup we’ll see will feature the San Diego Padres heading to Milwaukee to battle the Brewers. The Brewers are currently leading the National League Central, while the Padres are battling the Dodgers for NL West supremacy.

And finally, one of the biggest baseball rivalries will be renewed this weekend as the Chicago Cubs will host the St. Louis Cardinals for a weekend series. Although the Cubs aren’t in the playoff race, whenever these two get together, there always seems to be fireworks.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs

We’re now down to two teams in each conference. In the East, the New York Rangers hold a 1-0 lead over the Tampa Bay Lightning after their 6-2 Game 1 victory.

The Rangers lit up one of the top goaltenders in the league, Andrei Vasilevskiy. Vasilevskiy has been tremendous over the last two postseasons. We’ll see if he can rebound on Friday night.

On Saturday, we’ll see Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals between the Colorado Avalanche and the Edmonton Oilers. The Avalanche hold a 1-0 lead over the Oilers, as they put up a combined 14 goals in Colorado’s 8-6 victory in Game 1. We could see a lot of offense in this series.

The PGA Tour

This weekend’s stop on the PGA Tour takes everyone to beautiful Muirfield for the Memorial.

This tournament is loaded with huge names. Bryson DeChambeau, Rory McIlroy, Viktor Hovland, Xander Schauffele, Will Zalatoris, Jon Rahm, Jordan Spieth, Patrick Cantlay, Collin Morikawa, Hideki Matsuyama, Sungjae Im, and Daniel Berger lead this tremendous field.

Muirfield has hosted some huge events in the past, and the golf world always looks forward to playing there. We should see some great golf action this weekend.
