This weekend will have some great playoff action, as the NBA Finals are underway, and we’ll see some pivotal action in the Eastern Conference Finals in the NHL. We can’t forget that we have some important matchups in Major League Baseball. Here are some of the top sporting events for the upcoming weekend.

Betting Action: Weekly Sports Recap & Updates

Top Sports Events for This Weekend – June 11 – June 12

NBA Finals

On Friday night, the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics will square off in Game 4 of their best-of-seven NBA Finals series. After Boston took Game 3, a game in which they got off to a great start, gave up the lead in the 3rd quarter, and then pulled away late in the 4th quarter, the Warriors will be desperate for a win.

Jaylen Brown played well in Boston’s Game 3 victory. Klay Thompson has been struggling for Golden State. If he doesn’t get going, the Warriors could be in trouble. Draymond Green also had a rough Game 3, as Steph Curry once again played well for the Warriors.

We think that the Warriors will win Game 4, and this one will go the distance. This has been and will continue to be an excellent series to watch.

Major League Baseball Action

Two of the top series this weekend involve some of the most popular teams in the sport. We’ll see an interleague matchup between two very popular teams, as the New York Yankees will host the Chicago Cubs. These two teams along with the Los Angeles Dodgers are arguably the most popular teams in baseball. The Cubs and Yankees don’t meet that often, so when they do, people pay attention.

Speaking of the Los Angeles Dodgers, they’ll play a big series this weekend as they travel to San Francisco to take on their NL West rivals. Both of these teams are in the playoff hunt. The Giants haven’t been as good as they were last season, but they’re just 5.5 games behind Los Angeles for the division lead. These two are huge rivals, and crazy things tend to happen when these two meet.

Stanley Cup Playoffs

On Saturday night, the Stanley Cups Playoffs will resume with Game 6 of the Tampa Bay Lightning vs. New York Rangers series. At the time of this writing, the series is knotted up at two games apiece. Game 5 will be on Thursday night in New York. After Game 5, the teams will head to Tampa for Game 6. The series could be decided on Saturday night, or we could be headed for a Game 7.

The winner of this series will take on the Colorado Avalanche, who will represent the Western Conference after sweeping the Edmonton Oilers.

PGA Tour

This weekend’s stop on the PGA Tour will take everyone north of the border for the RBC Canadian Open. While much of the golf talk has centered around the LIV Tour, the PGA Tour will still have a majority of the world’s top golfers.

While this field isn’t as star-studded as many, there are still some very good golfers playing at St. George’s in Toronto. Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Shane Lowry, Tony Finau, and Scottie Scheffler lead the field.
