It’s another weekend full of great sporting events! In the NBA, we’re seeing teams gearing up for the playoffs that are just around the corner.
In baseball, we’re getting into the swing of things, and we’re already starting to separate the contenders from the pretenders. The NFL Draft takes place in Cleveland this weekend, so there is always a lot of intrigue that surrounds the draft.
We can’t forget that NASCAR’s significant events will be in the midwest this weekend, as the NASCAR circuit makes its way to Kansas. Let’s take a look at some of this weekend’s top sporting events.

NBA
This weekend’s featured NBA matchup will pit two Western Conference powerhouses against each other as the Denver Nuggets travel to Los Angeles to take on the Clippers. Both of these teams have the potential to represent the Western Conference in the NBA Finals.
The Nuggets, led by MVP-candidate Nikola Jokic, have been surging as of late. They’ll take on a Clippers team that is primed for a long playoff run. This should be a great game on Saturday night.
MLB
The top matchup in this weekend’s Major League Baseball schedule will see the Houston Astros take on the Tampa Bay Rays. These two potential American League playoff teams have had a nice stretch of success over the past few seasons.
The Astros have a stacked lineup, while the Rays are winning with solid role players who know how to play the game, combined with some up-and-coming young players. This will be a fun series to watch.

How can we forget the NFL Draft? Even though the big names will already be off the board, we’ll still see some future stars picked on Saturday in Rounds 4-7.

This weekend’s stop on the PGA Tour is at the Innisbrook Resort in Florida for the Valspar Championship. The top storyline for this tournament is Paul Casey’s quest to win his third straight Valspar championship.
Three of the top 10 players in the world will be playing this weekend, so the field will be solid. Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas, Patrick Reed, Viktor Hovland, Sungjae Im, Abraham Ancer, and Scottie Scheffler are among the top names participating this weekend.
NASCAR
This weekend, the NASCAR circuit will travel to the midwest, as the NASCAR world will invade Kansas. On Sunday, we’ll see some great NASCAR Cup Series action in the Buschy McBusch Race 400.
If you can’t believe what you just read, it’s ok, but yes, the race is called the Buschy McBusch Race 400. Denny Hamlin will be looking for his first victory of the year, as he is the favorite to take the checkered flag. Another race favorite, Martin Truex, Jr., will be looking for his third win of the year at the Kansas Speedway.
