Betting Action: Weekly Sports Recap & Updates

Top Sports Events for This Weekend – Apr.  24 –  Apr. 25

Weekend of Intense Battles in MLB

A budding rivalry will take place again this weekend as the Dodgers and Padres will face off in Los Angeles. We’ll see some great pitching matchups, as on Friday, Yu Darvish will square off against Clayton Kershaw. Saturday’s matchup will feature Blake Snell against Trevor Bauer, and on Sunday, Joe Musgrove will be opposed by Dustin May. The last time these two teams met, things got a little heated, so be prepared for a weekend of intense battles. These two teams could very well be the two best teams in the National League, so we should see some great baseball!

NBA Weekend Matches

We’ll see some potential playoff matchups in the NBA this weekend. On Saturday, two of the top Eastern Conference teams clash as the Philadelphia Sixers head to Milwaukee to take on the Bucks. In the featured game of the evening, the Los Angeles Lakers, with the returning Anthony Davis, will take on Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks. Milwaukee has a quick turnaround for a touch matchup on Sunday as they travel to Atlanta to take on the surging Hawks.

NASCAR Xfinity and Cup Series

The NASCAR Xfinity Series and Cup Series will head to Talladega for the weekend. On Saturday, the Xfinity Series will take center stage for the Ag-Pro 300. On Sunday afternoon, we’ll see the main event as the drivers will run in the Geico 500. It should be an exciting weekend of racing action at one of the most famous race tracks in the world.

PGA Tour – Zurich Classic of New Orleans

The PGA Tour heads to the Big Easy for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Some of the golfers in the field include Xander Schauffele, Patrick Cantlay, Sungjae Im, Tyrrell Hatton, Mark Leishman, Collin Morikawa, Matthew Wolff, Justin Rose, and Jon Rahm. This should be a very competitive event.

UFC 261 Fight Card – Kamaru Usman vs. Jorge Masvidal 2

The MMA world will be hosting another big UFC event this weekend as Jorge Masvidal and Kamara Usman square off for a second time at UFC 261 in Jacksonville, Florida. This fight headlines an event with three championship fights.

This will be the second time in less than a year that these two bitter rivals meet. They first met at UFC 251, where Usman used the unorthodox method of stomping on Jorge Masvidal’s foot to help secure the victory. Masvidal took the fight on short notice in July, so this time he has had ample time to prepare for this championship bout.

Usman has won 17 fights in a row, 13 of those as a member of the UFC. Masvidal would love nothing more than to end Usman’s impressive streak. These two fighters despise each other, so we foresee a very competitive fight with a lot of hard-hitting action on Saturday night.
