Betting Action: Weekly Sports Recap & Updates

NBA Playoffs Roll On

The NBA Playoffs are in full swing in the first round, which headlines our list of sporting events to look forward to over the weekend.

All eight playoff series will be in action on either Saturday or Sunday, as we should have a more clear picture of which teams will advance coming out of the weekend. Along with the wins and losses, there are several key storylines that we will see move forward in the league as well.

For one, we will see if the trash talk between Dillon Brooks and LeBron James gives one side or the other the edge when the Memphis Grizzlies face the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 3 on Saturday.

We will also see Draymond Green return from suspension as the Golden State Warriors host the Sacramento Kings in Game 4 of their series on Sunday. Meanwhile, Minnesota, Atlanta, and Brooklyn will all look to get on the board in their respective series.

NHL Playoffs Continue

Along with the continuation of the NBA Playoffs, the Stanley Cup Playoffs will continue in the NHL. All eight first-round series will see action over the weekend there as well.

With six of the eight series in the league tied at a game apiece heading into Friday night, there is sure to be plenty of intrigue in the pivotal games that are coming up over the weekend.

Some surprising results in the first couple of games have made the weekend games all the more intriguing. The Winnipeg Jets stole a game in Las Vegas against the Golden Knights, making their Game 3 on Saturday all the more important as they can take the series lead at home.

The same goes for the Seattle Kraken, who stole a game in Colorado and can move ahead of the Avalanche on Saturday night.

XFL Regular Season Concludes

The final sporting event we will spotlight for this weekend is the conclusion of the regular season in the XFL. One playoff spot has been clinched in each division so far, with the D.C. Defenders finishing at the top of the North Division and the Houston Roughnecks finishing atop the South Division.

But each division has one spot left to be claimed in Week 10, with two teams left to compete for each of those spots.

In the North, the St. Louis BattleHawks and Seattle Sea Dragons are playing for the final spot in the playoffs. Meanwhile, the San Antonio Brahmas and Arlington Renegades are competing for the final South Division playoff spot.

With those two playoff spots coming down to the final week of action, the XFL regular season could not have gone any better for the league.
