UFC Fight Night: Covington vs Woodley

Dana White has put together a fantastic card for the UFC event on Saturday night. 15-2 Colby Covington is a -360 favorite to beat 19-5-1 Tyron Woodley. Covington lost his last fight, but it was against champion Kamaru Usman.

Before the main event, popular UFC fighter Donald Cerrone battles Niko Price. 8-0 Khamzat Chimaev is also in action. Chimaev fights 31-13 Gerald Meerschaert. Prelims start at 5:00 pm ET.

NASCAR: Bass Pro Shops Night Race – Bristol Motor Speedway

Last Saturday, Brad Keselowski beat Martin Truex Jr. and Joey Logano in the race at Richmond. The win catapulted Keselowski to second place behind Kevin Harvick on the NASCAR Cup Series Standings. Can Brad use another excellent finish at Bristol on Saturday to leapfrog Harvick and take the top spot?

Major League Baseball

No MLB team leads their division by more than 6 ½ games. This weekend’s top matchup has the Chicago Cubs battling the Minnesota Twins. The Cubbies are 5 ½ games ahead of the Reds. The Twins are 2 games behind the Chicago White Sox.

NBA: Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat – Game 3

The Celtics and Heat throw down in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals Game 3. Will Jimmy Butler and the Heat prove the series win over Milwaukee wasn’t a fluke? Will Jayson Tatum and the Celtics finally show why they were second choice to win the East before the restart?

College Football

The SEC starts their season on Sep. 26. The Big Ten won’t play until Oct. 24. That doesn’t mean there aren’t any good college football games on Sep. 19. The biggest matchup is between #17 Miami and #18 Louisville. That should be a fantastic game.

Sunday, Sep. 20

No doubt, the top soccer match on Sunday is Chelsea versus Liverpool. The Reds dominated the English Premier League last season. Have the Blues improved enough to challenge Pool for the EPL title?

NBA: Denver Nuggets vs L.A. Lakers – Game 1

In one of the most amazing comebacks in NBA Playoffs history, the Denver Nuggets dominated the L.A. Clippers in three straight games. On Sunday, Nikola Jokic, Paul Millsap, Jamal Murray, and the rest of the underrated Nuggets battle the NBA Championship favorite Lakers.

Yes, the Lakers have LeBron and Anthony Davis. But no player in the league can hang with Jokic. Denver also has an advantage at the point-guard position where Jamal Murray has become one of the best on court quarterbacks in the league.

NFL Week 2

Although it’s only the second week, key matchups abound. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers can’t go 0-2 to start the season. They play the Carolina Panthers. Atlanta versus Dallas and Minnesota against Indianapolis are two games between 0-1 teams.

The afternoon contest between Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens and Deshaun Watson’s Houston Texans should prove entertaining. That’s the warmup to the NBC Sunday Night Football game where Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks host Cam Newton and the New England Patriots.

Have a great weekend!
