Betting Action: Weekly Sports Recap & Updates

Top Sports Events for This Weekend – September 25 –  September 26

College Football

This weekend’s slate of games features two games that pit ranked teams against each other. In Madison, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will battle the Wisconsin Badgers. Notre Dame comes in ranked 12th, while the one-loss Badgers are ranked 16th. Both of these offenses rely heavily on the ground game, so we’ll see which defense can stop the run better.

The other game featuring ranked teams will come to us from Fayetteville, Arkansas, as the Arkansas Razorbacks host the Texas A&M Aggies. The Razorbacks are coming off of a huge win over the Texas Longhorns. Jimbo Fisher’s squad thinks that this could be the year that they finally take the next step. This is a huge SEC matchup, so we’ll see who can keep up with Georgia and Alabama.

Major League Baseball

With just a week left in the regular season, we have a huge matchup in the American League East as the Boston Red Sox host the New York Yankees. Currently, these two hold the two American League Wild Card playoff spots. The Red Sox have a two-game lead over the Yankees heading into their Friday night game.

This is a huge series because not only are the Toronto Blue Jays just one game behind the Yankees but whoever finishes with the top Wild Card spot will host the one-game playoff. There’s a lot at stake in this big three-game set.

NFL

We’ve made it to Week 3 of the NFL season. We have a lot of great games on tap for Sunday, but two, in particular, stand out. On Sunday afternoon, two of the favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl will meet at the site of this season’s Super Bowl, as the Los Angeles Rams will host Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at SoFi Stadium.

Sunday Night Football will feature two more of the NFC’s top teams facing off, as the Green Bay Packers will head west to take on the San Francisco 49ers. After an embarrassing Week 1 loss to the New Orleans Saints, the Packers rebounded to defeat the Detroit Lions. The Niners are sitting at 2-0 after beating the Lions and the Philadelphia Eagles. We’ll see which team gains the upper hand in the NFC playoff race.

PGA Tour – Ryder Cup

Team Europe will take on Team USA in this epic matchup. Every four years, these two meet for International supremacy. On Friday and Saturday, the players will be matched up in foursomes in the morning and will play four-ball format in the afternoon.

On Sunday, we’ll see match play. The United States team is loaded with America’s top players. We’ll see which squad comes out with the coveted Ryder Cup.
