We are looking forward to a great weekend of sports action we can look forward to! The highlight of the weekend will be all of the college basketball action.
With all of the conference tournaments going on, there will be some great games. The weekend will end with the Tournament Selection Show, where we’ll get our first look at the field of 68 teams.
We’ll also see some of the NBA’s top teams square off in a prime-time matchup. We can’t forget the great PGA Tour event, along with a weekend full of NASCAR action. And we may see some big free agent signings, as the Major League Baseball lockout has ended, and we’ll see the season start soon.

Top Sports Events for This Weekend – March 12 – March 13
College Hoops Action
What a weekend it will be if you’re a college basketball fan! With all of the Power 5 Conference tournaments wrapping up on Saturday or Sunday, we’ll see some of the nation’s top teams vying for their tournament championships. We could see some Cinderella teams win their tournament and steal a bid from a more deserving squad.
All of the tournament action will lead us to the NCAA Tournament Selection Show on late Sunday afternoon. The 68 teams that will enter the tournament will be announced. We’ll get to see when and where all of the teams play. We’ll also get to see which deserving teams get snubbed from the field.
This is always a weekend that college hoops fans wait all season for, and we know that it won’t disappoint.
NBA
On Saturday night, we’ll see a matchup featuring two of the league’s top two stars, as Giannis Anteokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks will head out West to take on Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors.
The Warriors have been struggling as of late. They’ve lost seven of their last 10, and they just can’t seem to get things figured out. Draymond Green is set to return soon, and that could be the boost that the Warriors need.
Heading into the final stretch of the season, the Bucks are putting everything together. They’ve gone 7-3 in their last ten games. They’re gearing up for another long playoff run.
This should be a fun game to watch, as this one will have some exciting action!
PGA Tour
The famed TPC at Sawgrass is playing host to this weekend’s The Players Championship. Many of the tour’s top players are playing on the famed course. Heading into Friday’s action, Tommy Fleetwood holds the lead. Jon Rahm, Alex Noren, Paul Casey, Victor Hovland, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, and Rory McIlroy headline this star-studded field.
NASCAR
On Sunday, the NASCAR Cup Series will run in the Ruoff Mortgage 500 at the Phoenix Raceway. The season has started off with a bang, as we’ve seen some great finishes and numerous winners.
Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Chase Elliott, and Joey Logano top the list of favorites in this one.
