Betting Action: Weekly Sports Recap & Updates

Top Sports Events for This Weekend – December 24 – December 25

NFL Action

Christmas Eve Day is filled with NFL action. The premier game of the day features a battle for the top spot in the NFC East, as the Dallas Cowboys will host the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles are fighting to keep the top spot in the NFC Playoffs, while Dallas is looking to get one step closer to the top of the division. This should be one of the best games of the season.

Another big game on Saturday features the Seattle Seahawks playing at Kansas City. The Chiefs are fighting to keep pace with the Buffalo Bills for the top spot in the AFC, while the Seattle Seahawks need this victory to stay in the race for one of the final NFC playoff spots.

The New York Giants play at the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday as well. If the season ended today, both of these teams would be in the playoffs. New York has some teams hot on their tail for a playoff spot, and a loss at this point in the season could be costly.

On Sunday, we’ll see Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers head to South Beach to take on the Miami Dolphins. Miami is in a fight to keep a spot in the playoffs, and they can’t afford a loss. Rodgers and the Packers are trying to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.

NBA

Christmas Day is always reserved for some of the top teams in the NBA to square off. The top game of the day will feature Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Milwaukee Bucks heading to Boston to take on the Celtics. The Bucks currently hold a ½-game lead over the Celtics for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. Jayson Tatum and Jalen Brown have had a great season for Boston, and we’ll see if they can get the home win over the Bucks on Christmas Day.

Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies will take on the Golden State Warriors. This matchup has lost some of its luster due to the Stephen Curry injury. The Grizzlies are currently tied with the Denver Nuggets for the top spot in the West. Memphis has done this without the services of Desmond Bane and Jarren Jackson Jr. for much of the season.

Speaking of the Nuggets, they’ll host the Phoenix Suns in the Christmas nightcap. Nikola Jokic is enjoying having Jamaal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. back in the lineup. The Suns have been struggling, and they’ll be looking to get back on track if they can beat the Nuggets.
